There are some terrific sessions and topics scheduled for this Virtual Enterprise Connect that cover the recent developments in collaboration technology and practices. (As there have always been in the history of Enterprise Connect.) This year however, having survived the worst global pandemic in a century, it’s important to step back and realize that everything is different this time – and why. The history of blaming remote workers for sluggish businesses has finally been disproven, with multiple examples of remote knowledge workers being more productive than commuters to an office. As a result, many organizations are rapidly reinventing their business processes. Many are as shedding real-estate leases and redesigning offices with a realization that the purpose of the “office” is shifting from individual work to group / collaborative work. Additionally, enterprises are reinventing what the home office looks and operates like for the remote and hybrid worker.
This session will explore how collaboration and society are undergoing a transformational change, and what its impact will be on how we live and work. Just this one time, it is revolution not evolution.
Takeaways:
• What did the horrific perfect storm of the last year teach us about remote working and collaboration – both positive and negative.
• What will the next-generation, collaborative office look like and how will it differ from enterprise floor-plans of the past?
• What will the next generation home-office of the knowledge worker look like? How will this change the residential housing market?
• What types of tools will be utilized to enable organizations to thrive in the new Hybrid Working world?
• What supervisory skills will change and transform to ensure employee productivity?
• How will all the changes inevitably transform tangential industries?
